In "The Big Bang Theory," Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Howard (Simon Helberg), all have someone special in their lives. However, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) has not been lucky on the love front and is still single. In the previous season, Raj was able to make some progress with the socially awkward Lucy (Kate Micucci). However, Lucy found the relationship with Raj too much as it demanded meeting with his set of friends, and going out.

At the end of the season 6, Lucy chose to say goodbye to Raj rather than shedding her social awkwardness. Raj is now capable of talking, without needing the help of alcohol. However, he still has not succeeded in getting a date. Raj tried getting girls interested in him by posting his profile on a dating site, but that also failed.

In an interview with Variety, Steve Molaro had said: "It's a definite possibility that Raj will try and find her (Lucy) in the future. However, it is Penny (Kaley Cuoco) who meets Lucy and confronts her in episode 8, "Itchy Brain Simulation," of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 7. We do not know if Raj will be meeting Lucy, or not.

Also in episode 8, Sheldon asks Leonard to wear a red, over-sized sweater, with Lenny written on it. It is the challenge of the week and Leonard cannot take it off. As a result, Leonard has itchy rashes all over his body. But, he still cannot discard the sweater away as that means letting Sheldon win. The sweater for sure has a past history and Sheldon is taking his revenge.

In addition to reprising her role as Lucy, Kate had teamed-up to Riki Lindhome to write the Bernadette song. Kate had said to The Hollywood Reporter that Steve Molaro, the show-runner of "The Big Bang Theory," approached her to write the song. "They suggested the idea of Wolowitz singing about what his life would be without Bernadette," she had said while talking about the instructions received for the song.
