There is an interesting development lined-up in episode 12 of "The Big Bang Theory." The episode is called "The Hesitation Ramification." Penny, in an inebriated state, is likely to get down on her knee to propose to Leonard.
According to the spoilers, Leonard will be taken aback by the sudden marriage proposal, and is not going to say yes. The proposal comes after Penny's role in NCIS is edited out. A dejected, frustrated Penny feels that she has lost a big break and that she has struggled for ten years to become an actress, without any success. Leonard is trying his best to cheer-her-up. However, he did not expect a formal proposal from Penny. Leonard's no reply to the proposal is going to make Penny more frustrated. Sheldon is likely to ask Leonard whether it is the end of his relationship with Penny.
