Leonard and Penny got engaged in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 7. If there is a wedding in the upcoming Season 8, it is likely that Penny's mom will be introduced. Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny in the show, has said that she would like to see "Friends" alum Lisa Kudrow playing the role of Penny's mom in the show.

Speaking about the possibility of Penny's mom getting introduced, the actress said to TV Line, "I know, I've been waiting! I don't know what they're going to do, but I have always thought -- and I hope this doesn't offend her because I know she's super young, though we know Penny's mom got knocked up very early -- that Lisa Kudrow would be so perfect. I've said that for years. I think it would be hilarious, plus I'm a huge fan of hers, so it's a selfish wish."

The actress thinks that Leonard will be more of the bride than Penny. According to Cuoco, it would be "funny" if Leonard donned the hat of a planner. "Penny is so aloof, she'd be a lot more easy-going than Leonard," she said.

Leonard discovered in the final episode of Season 7 that he may have to wait for the release of Penny's brother from the prison to get married. It will be interesting to see who will appear as the brother of Penny and his and Leonard's interaction.

Meanwhile, Cuoco recently got a pixie-haircut. There are reports that she may be sporting the same haircut in the show. She said to TV Line that the producers of "The Big Bang Theory" had loved it when she had walked in at the Season 7 wrap-up party, with her hair clipped.

"I'm hoping Penny will keep the haircut, that's my goal," Cuoco said to TV Line. "The finale wasn't a 'To Be Continued,' so I don't see any problem with it. People change, people get haircuts, so I think this is a realistic move for Penny. Fingers crossed!"

"The Big Bang Theory" is expected to premiere this fall in September. This year in March, CBS renewed the hugely hit show for three more seasons.
