A Valentine’s Day themed episode awaits fans of “The Big Bang Theory" this week on CBS. To celebrate the most romantic time of the year, Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy Fowler (Mayim Bialik) host a live episode of “Fun with Flags.” Other “The Big Bang Theory” cast members who will appear on the upcoming episode include Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Penny Hofstadter (Kaley Cuoco), Howard (Simon Helberg), Bernadette Wolowitz (Melissa Rauch), Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) and Emily Sweeney.

"American Horror Story" actress Alessandra Toressani returns as a guest star on "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 Episode 15. The 28-year-old actress continues her role as Claire, a children's science fiction series writer who met Raj on the previous installment.

TV Guide reports that in addition to Sheldon and Amy’s live episode of “Fun With Flags,”
Howard and Bernadette are shocked to discover something in their hot tub. Meanwhile, Leonard and Penny grapple with signs of ageing. Elsewhere, Raj feels torn between Emily and Claire, the woman he met at the Comic Bookstore.

The official YouTube channel of “The Big Bang Theory” posted a couple of sneak peeks of the upcoming episode. On the first preview video, Howard and Bernadette prepare to go into a romantic dip into the hot tub. However, they find out that something has already beaten them to the hot tub: a rat. They panic and move to get rid of the rat.

On the second teaser, Leonard and Penny are seen in a restaurant to have their Valentine’s Day dinner. Their romantic plans are dashed when they are told to wait for a table to free up. They get into a little argument when Penny suggests to bribe the maître d’ and Leonard questioned whether it works. Penny asks, “Do people like money, is that what you’re asking?” Leonard retorts that she brandishes a lot of attitude, coming “from a woman who thought MC2 is a rapper.”

Penny replies, “That was not a smart thing to say on a holiday that’s basically the National S-- Night.” Leonard mumbles an apology and admits that he’s stupid.

In the previous episode of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 9 Episode 14, titled “The Meemaw Materialization,” Sheldon’s grandmother, whom he fondly calls Meemaw, came for a visit. Fans of the show know that Meemaw can’t stand Amy, and the old woman’s dislike towards Amy became more apparent during her visit. Meemaw admitted that she was there to check out Amy, and doesn’t think Sheldon should give Amy her engagement ring. The catch was, Amy did not know Sheldon was even planning to propose.
