"The Big Bang Theory" will premiere its sixth season in a month's time, and Mayim Bialik does not want to cause any inconvenience to writers after a car accident left her with a serious hand injury.

The 36-year-old Bialik, who portrays the role of Sheldon's girlfriend Amy Farrah Fowler, told "CBS This Morning" she went back to work soon after her accident to show her hand to the writers.

"I wanted to give our writers the opportunity to see, like, is this going to work?" The Emmy-nominated actress said, noting they have been able to hide her injured hand.

Bialik was driving alone on Wednesday in LA when a car made a wrong turn in front of her Volvo, prompting her air bags to blow. She suffered "severe lacerations to her left hand and thumb," according to Los Angeles Police.

Reports earlier spread that Bialik lost a finger in the accident. She belied the rumors.

"There will be a significant scar. It hurts but all the fingers work. Thank God I'm OK." Bialik told "Extra." A photo and video of her post-accident can be found here.

Bernadette previews "The Big Bang Theory" Season 6

Meanwhile, Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch) is standing by her statement on the show's fifth season: No babies.

Speaking to Jakartaglobe.com, Rauch said the production has filmed three episodes so far, but she is confident to reveal that she does not get knocked up next season.

"In Season Five, you will learn how Bernadette feels about children," Rauch explained.
