The writers and producers of CBS's hugely popular sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" came to Comic-Con, with a bagful of stories and a few Season 8 spoilers. One of the most talked about scenes of the previous Season 7 is the Sheldon initiated kiss between him and Amy. It was revealed at the Comic-Con that the writers wrote another version of the kiss, which the viewers did not get to see.

"There's a kinder, gentler version where he kisses her just because he's having such a lovely "experience on the train. But I'm really happy with the way we did it." Steve Molaro, showrunner of the show, said, as quoted by Entertainment Weekly (EW). The kiss scene gave writers an anxious time, as they were feeling the pressure to get it right. In the episode, the kiss happened after a tiff between Amy and Sheldon, and as a result of Sheldon mocking Amy's demand that she deserves romance on the Valentine Day.

The Season 7 saw the evolution of Amy and Sheldon's relationship. Sheldon, however, was bugged when Amy suggested that he move-in with her, as the newly engaged couple Leonard and Penny were planning to movie-in, together, without Sheldon. Overwhelmed with all the new developments, Sheldon decided to board a train and exit Pasadena, and when he called Amy from his undisclosed location, he sounded happy. Speaking about Amy and Sheldon's relationship, Molaro said, "He didn't leave because of Amy, so I would argue that they have their own weird brand of happiness right now."

The writers are not planning to get Penny and Leonard married soon. The Hollywood Reporter (THR) quoted Molaro as saying at the Comic-Con, "they [Penny and Leonard] are engaged, but the wedding is some time off in the future. ... Penny's first goal is to put the date far enough in the future so everyone knows she's not pregnant."

When "The Big Bang Theory" returns, Stuart will still be living with Howard's mother. In Season 7 Season finale, Stuart took up the job of being Mrs. Wolowitz's care-giver after his comic store burned down. Stuart and Howard's mother got along real well. Molaro assured fans that the show will not be without its comic-book store. He said, as quoted by THR, "There will be a comic book store in the future. The show will not go on without a comic book store."

The writers of "The Big Bang Theory" have no plans to fix the broken elevator. Also, Penny's last name will not be revealed soon. The upcoming season will also not introduce babies. "There are no plans for any babies in the future," Molaro said.

The production of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 is expected to begin at the end of this month. There are speculations that the filming of the new episodes may get delayed because the lead actors, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Johnny Galecki and Kunal Nayyar, have yet to sign on a new contract.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 8 is scheduled to premiere on September 22, 2014.

In Season 7, Wil Wheaton and Penny were thrown out of the "Serial Ape-ist 2" movie. But, it looks like the two were called back to shoot a trailer of the movie, which is subtitled "Monkey See, Monkey Kill Trailer."
