“Big Brother Australia” held its first nomination night for the season on Wednesday. Jake & Gemma, David & Sandra, Skye & Lisa, and Travis & Cat are all nominated, one of them will be leaving the Big Brother house in less than a week.

It was an eventful week so far. The housemates welcomed a new pair, the Heads of House roled have been passed onto another pair and the quest for the strongest partners in the house who will win $30,000 has been set.

Lisa and Skye

The psychologically incompatible pairing of Lisa and Skye started out happy for both of them. However, since the arrival of the new pair, namely the poodles called Ned and Kelly, things between the two girls started to become strained.

Lisa was given the tasked of caring for the dogs, which made Skye feeling left out.

David and Sandra

Once again, David has managed to offend a woman after commenting on her body part. This time, it’s his partner Sandra. In the previous episode, Sandra commented on how big her thighs are, which prompted David to make an offhand joke about her thighs.

Sandra, his apparent good match according to psychological tests, cried to the other housemates for support, admitting that she is annoyed at David.

She was able to forgive him, though, during the Perfect Pair Task.

“I am the reason you always end up in tears and it destroys me,” he said to his partner.

Gemma

The fiery redhead has thrown a mighty tantrum after a question in the Perfect Pair challenge. The housemates, save for pairs Lawson & Aisha and Lisa & Skye, had to rank themselves from the least to the most, depending on the category. When the question was about who’s the best kisser, Gemma thought that she was a great one, but the housemates didn’t think so.

“I’ve got a lot of compliments,” Gemma said when questioned why she went in front of the line.

The other housemates didn’t seem to agree, so she ended up in the middle. This had her crying, first just hiding her head with a towel, but later on fully showing her temper to the housemates.

The 6’6” nurse claimed no one was listening to her.

“I’m not upset where I was [in the line], but I want to stand where I want to stand,” she cried to Katie, Jake and Priya.

She later complained that she was missing her friends outside the house. She then went to the bedroom to punch a pillow to “let out” her anger and frustration.

Katie seemed supportive of her, agreeing to how she felt, but later on called her a two-faced to Big Brother.

Nomination

Each pair had five points to distribute to two other pairs for nomination. However, since Dion and Jason are the Heads of House, they got 10 points. Priya and Katie, who bartered $1,500 each for their immunity, couldn’t be nominated.

David, who has been nominated by some housemates because they don’t like his sense of humour and bluntness, was surprisingly offended when a female did something that to him that no lady should have done, at least that’s what he believed. He nominated Lisa & Skye for four points, not because he had a

“boobgate” run-in with Lisa, but because she farted on his face one time.

Jake has become a “collateral damage” being paired with Gemma. The housemates who nominated them only have issue with Gemma. Unfortunately for Jake, he has been nominated along with his partner.

The nominees for the week are Gemma & Jake (17 points), David & Sandra (14), Skye & Lisa (7) and Travis & Cat (6)
