‘Big Brother Australia’ 3rd Eviction Recap: Queen Bee Katie Ousted [VIDEOS]
“Big Brother Australia” has evicted Katie. The fiery 25-year-old so-called Queen Bee is the third housemate to be kicked out of the famous house on Tuesday.
Dion’s Exit Aftermath
Dion’s surprise eviction on Monday has been an emotional ride on the housemates, including Jason, who has been Dion’s partner in the house for weeks before the housemates were told to play as individuals.
After briefly grieving his ex-partner’s untimely eviction, he appeared to be in his usual top form. He had told Big Brother that with Dion gone, he believed that things would change for the housemates.
Katie was shocked as well, but she was more shocked with Cat being saved because she thought that Cat would go home.
Dion’s farewell video was shot outside the house, which perhaps is the reason why he only had good things to say about his fellow housemates. He reiterated how beautiful Sandra is, and declared his bromance love for Jason, which made the 26-year-old real estate agent cry again.
Dion, who already has a girlfriend, has told TheFIX why he was friendly but not overly intimate with female housemates in the house. He had renounced showmance even before entering the Big Brother house.
“[I was] pretty adamant from the start that I’m in love and I’m not interested in anyone romantically in the slightest,” he said. “So I didn’t really have anyone flirt with me at all, everyone was treating me like a mate.”
He has an explanation about a couple of attached men in the house who still flirt with the females.
“I think some of the other guys were craving that bit of attention,” he reckoned. “It does take two to tango and if they weren’t interested they would make it quite clear that they’re completely happy with who they are and they’d rather it stay more friendly.”
As for Jason, Dion, who unknowingly became a gay rights advocate in Australia, has quite a few things to say about him.
“He is an unbelievable guy,” he said of Jason. “It’s completely, 100 per cent okay to be a homosexual man or woman in this country, I am all for setting that example and I don’t treat anyone differently.”
He added the housemates all have the same attitude as him about homosexuality.
“I think my relationship with Jason was going to be equal no matter which sex he prefers and which partner he chooses to have. Regardless of his sexual preference he is fantastic so there shouldn’t be any prejudice towards that all.”
Katie’s Eviction
After Travis was called safe a moment before, the eviction was down to the Priya and Katie, who were the first ones to enter the house.
Katie appeared to be surprised but pleased with her eviction, but it could be just her saving face tactic yet again.
Priya had the most votes at 40 per cent, followed by Travis at 36 per cent. Katie was far behind at 24 per cent, which was unlike the previous day’s voting numbers when Dion was only behind 1 per cent from the immediate person.
Like evictees Gemma and Dion before her, Katie also received a $5,000 voucher from Appliances Online.
Intruder Intro
The intruder hasn’t been named yet, just introduced. Behind Big Brother has already identified him, though. Apparently, his name is Ryan Burke-Gaffney, a model and personal trainer from Canada but now living in Australia. Some viewers might find him familiar through his naked man video for a real estate company.
Ryan, if that’s indeed him, will be entering on Wednesday, the day of the third nomination.
