‘Big Brother Australia’ Eviction Recap: Lisa Goes Home; Jake on His Love Triangle with Skye and Lisa and Why He Hates Leo [VIDEO]
“Big Brother Australia” has evicted Lisa on Tuesday night. Plus, newly evicted Jake has cleared the air about his association with Tim Dormer, his relationship with Lisa and Skye, and the real reason why intruder Leo is his least favourite housemates.
Jake’s Interviews Outside the House
The seemingly jovial student has let off a lot of steam towards a certain housemate, specifically intruder Leo. Jake Richardson, 25, has called Leo his “least favourite housemates” because the Canadian fitness trainer is in the house to play a game.
“…he wants to win some money, he’s got an agenda,” he told the Daily Mail Australia, adding that Leo did not want to spend time with him.
That’s not all, though. Jake was all pissed at Leo for cutting his own showmance with Skye and Lisa.
“I had a good relationship with Skye and Lisa and he just wanted to work out which girl he wanted to hook up with,” he said of Leo, though he sounded as if he was describing himself.
During his post-eviction interview with Sonia Kruger, he said that he would probably be going after the “older woman,” referring to the 29-year-old Lisa. However, in his interview with the Daily Mail Australia, he has changed his mind just barely a day later.
“I think I’ve got a really great friendship with Lisa but I’d probably pursue what was going on with Skye,” the undecided Jake said.
Lisa or Skye shouldn’t get their hopes up, though. Jake was just “looking for fun” in the house, so despite the pashes he has had with both girls, he was just after harmless fun and their friendship.
“It’s not at all about romance. I’ve just come out of a five-year relationship and I wasn’t at all looking to settle down,” he told news.com.au. “I was looking for fun and I told the girls that.”
So maybe that’s why he didn’t like Leo so much because, the way he described him, Leo appears to be doing exactly what he planned in the house.
As for being reigning Big Brother champ Tim Dormer’s roommate, Jake explained that they didn’t let on that little fact to the other housemates because he didn’t want to be known as Tim’s roommate. He denied speculations that Tim had helped him secure a spot on the show, saying that he didn’t even tell Tim about going inside the house until he was already about to enter lockdown.
“Having any association with Tim is going to put me in his shadow,” he said. “I didn’t want to be seen as another Tim.”
Message from the Grave
Every nominated housemate records a message for all of their housemates in case they get evicted on the next eviction night. And when Jake was evicted on Monday, his video was shown to the housemates moments after he exited the house.
His parting message to Leo wasn’t anywhere near friendly. In fact, one may call it a bit hostile for someone whom he has known for just a short time.
“It’s no doubt that the person I believe who’s causing disharmony in here is Leo,” Jake brutally told the newcomer. “The one thing I find really difficult with you is I haven’t been able to trust anything from you. I’ve got a lot of you selling yourself to me, but I haven’t been able to receive anything from what you said. I just couldn’t trust you. I think that lack of trust is resonating with the other housemates, and it’s causing a lot of disharmony.”
He didn’t stop there. Jake appeared to have devoted a lot of time to disparaging Leo, continuing, “I think the biggest issue of this house at the moment is seeing what Leo does next. He seems to have come in here with some form of agenda and he’s willing to do whatever he has to to achieve that.”
Leo later told Big Brother that he was taken aback by Jake’s apparently personal attack on him, but Jake perhaps didn’t know that he has done him a favour by coming forward with his frank admission.
Priya and Jason
A new ally has been formed, and it’s composed of the two most neutral housemates of the season. Priya and Jason have both refused to cling to a group, and they have noticed that about each other.
“Not everyone has a relationship that you and I have. I’ve come to realise this,” Priya told the 26-year-old real estate agent.
“We can’t trust anyone,” Jason agreed.
“Whatever you’ve told me so far, I’ve kept to myself. Whatever I’ve told you so far, you’ve kept to yourself,” Priya said before adding that she has heard some people mentioning Jason’s name during conversations about housemates who haven’t been nominated yet.
“You’ve got to be so careful, Jas,” she warned. “If people treat you as a potential winner, you’ve got to be careful.”
She’s almost right. Their fellow hotel staff members thought Jason’s upbeat attitude was annoying, and this might lead to his nomination next.
The new Jason and Priya pairing might just be an indomitable one, with both employing the same strategy of listening to others whine and moan but not sharing what they really think about them. They are both just ticking time bombs of knowledge, and thus they can be considered dangerous to other housemates.
Fifth Eviction
After Skye has been saved and Jake has been eliminated the day before, the eviction was now down to five housemates – Cat, Travis, Aisha, David and Lisa. David, who has been the most unpopular in the house, was actually the most popular among his fellow nominees.
Based on the cheers from the audience, he has been well and truly supported by viewers. Also, the 31-year-old radiographer took a massive 30 per cent of votes, three points ahead from Aisha, who took 27 per cent.
Travis and Cat were also safe with 16 and 15 per cent respectively. This left Lisa the unlucky housemate with the lowest votes of 12 per cent.
During her interview with Sonia right after her eviction, she also thought Leo was fake, and would want Priya or Cat to be evicted next. She wanted Ryan to win, but conceded that Jason or Skye would probably take the crown.
Like the other evictees before her, Lisa also received a $5,000 voucher from AppliancesOnline.com.au.
