“Big Brother Australia” so-called “love rat” Lawson Reeves is single but isn’t available. Despite choosing 31-year-old housemate Kate “Cat” Law over his then-girlfriend Candice Leeder during the filming of the reality show, the 23-year-old magic man denies he is in a committed relationship with Cat.

Lawson and Cat became the most talked-about controversy in the house after they acted on their feelings with each other and became involved, despite the fact that Lawson was in a relationship with his long-time girlfriend. However, even after they left the famous reality house, the two refused to confirm they were in a relationship, only saying that they were taking it one step at a time.

Lawson still refuses to put a label on his relationship with Cat until now. When asked what his relationship status is, he replied, “Single, I guess.”

He explained to TV Week, “Cat and I haven’t had a conversation and said we’re together. We’re just taking it slow and spending time together. I’m not interested in looking for anyone else. I’m just happy spending time with Cat and hanging out. It doesn’t have a label on it at the moment. Only time will tell.”

The Mandurah local, who has since moved to Cat’s hometown in Melbourne, also revealed that he hasn’t spoken to Candice yet, but he also isn’t giving up on trying to contact her. “I’m going back to Perth soon, so I’ll give it another crack then. It’s something that has to happen.”

While his relationship with Cat is yet undefined, his bromance with housemate Sam Bramham continues to blossom. He is now roommates with the 26-year-old Paralympian, who is also single after breaking up with girlfriend Michaela.

Like Lawson, Sam’s relationship with their fellow housemates Sandra Nixon was also a subject of controversy inside the house. But unlike Lawson and Cat’s, Sam and Sandra’s allegedly developed into platonic friendship. Sam also had a girlfriend when he entered the house. However, during the live final episode, he admitted that he has since split with Michaela. Sandra, on the other hand, was dating his friend.

But it appears that even Sandra and his friend aren’t together anymore. In an Instagram post in November, Sandra posted a video of her and Sam kissing, as they promised to do so if Ryan Ginns won the show.

Sam said his time on the show “played a factor” in the demise of his relationship, but cleared that he and Michaela are the persons to blame for their own split, and that Sandra wasn’t the cause. He said that was a “communication problem” between them, and had been unable to salvage their relationship.
