The tension inside the “Big Brother Australia” house has reached an all-time high on Monday night as the housemates prepare for their final days inside. When Big Brother showed them clips of themselves talking behind each others’ back, they all became defensive and in denial.

“Just Let Me Live”

An innocent baby talk of “peanut butter and jelly time” sent Ryan reeling when Priya and Skye said it, and that set off the whole Ryan and Priya argument. Priya pointed out to Ryan that he gets irritable easily, which Ryan detested. And when he heard Priya in the middle of narrating to Lina what happened with Ryan, Ryan told her to just stop because he just wanted to enjoy his last days in the house.

“Just let me live,” Priya told him, citing examples of Ryan disapproving her all the time. This dramatic plea even set him off more, but he chose to end the argument with her and tattle it to Penny, who agreed that Priya was indeed annoying.

It can be remembered that Priya and Penny had an argument before, with Penny blaming Priya for asking her and David if they liked each other. Penny has a boyfriend outside the house, and she’s afraid of what his relationship with David would look like to viewers. Interestingly, when Priya asked Penny if they’re all right, Penny said they were, but she went straight to David to tell him that she and Priya were not okay.

Red Hot

Red became the theme of the housemates’ last party in the house, which is perhaps the fitting colour for the revelations Big Brother played to them. He played a clip of each of the housemates, and they only needed to shout “stop” for the tape to stop. Those who opted not to have their tape played would be banished to the tree house for their remaining time in the house.

The housemates put their best smiling, game face forward, but as expected, they started bickering to others after the party ended.

Lina

Her revelation clips mostly composed of her opening up to Priya about Penny, who she thought was getting attention from the boys by showing off her breasts. After the tape played, Penny asked if hanging out with anyone was a problem with Lina. Priya answered that when she brought it up to her, Penny found her annoying, “that’s why I don’t bring up anything to you anymore.”

Lina also admitted in the clip that she didn’t like Ryan. Her nominating him in the Diary Room also came up. She told Big Brother that Ryan created a lad mentality, and for that she nominated him for three points.

As for Skye, Lina reckoned that they have a “superficial relationship.” She got along well with the 20-year-old Gold Coast barista, but Skye was selective of whom she would really open up with, and that just didn’t include Lina. The 25-year-old Chinese-born beauty also mentioned Skye cutting her off by showing her back to her when every time Lina got into a meaningful conversation with Priya. Skye denied this, saying she wasn’t aware that she was doing that.

Travis

Travis’ nomination tapes were also played. First he nominated Priya because he found it difficult to have a meaningful conversation with her. Then his nomination clip showed him nominating Lina for creating propaganda about the boys and the girls’ divide. He pointed out Lina was singling out Penny for hanging out with the guys.

He also turned his attention to Ryan, who famously divided the couples in the house by banishing their other halves to the sanctuary. Travis was one of those banished, splitting him from Aisha. He didn’t take it well, and he had let everyone in the sanctuary know of his feelings. Ryan and Travis just laughed it off, though.

Penny

What some of the girls said about Penny telling them just positive things in their face but talking negatively behind their backs is probably true, so during the Red Hot party, Big Brother showed them what Penny really thought of her fellow housemates.

Her first victim was Skye, whom she admonished for being unhygienic, getting away with saying bad things to people because she’s Skye, and often running around naked. It’s ironic because that’s what Lina said about Penny, that she’s always showing off her boobs as well.

She said a curious thing about Skye, though, which was remarkably similar to evictee David said about the young housemate. According to David, if there were people having a conversation which Skye thought didn’t fall favourably for her, she would get naked and join the group. That way, the PG-rating show wouldn’t air the conversation, and the viewers wouldn’t think badly of Skye. That’s also what Penny said about Skye.

Skye defensively argued that Penny should have said something about her lack of modesty during conversations, but had admitted about her lack of hygiene.

Priya

Priya perhaps described Penny best when she said Penny hated conflict so much that she wouldn’t say anything in a housemate’s face, but would tattle on to her allies about how she hated the other housemate. Priya’s clips showed her zeroing in on Penny, whom she reckoned acted single in the house but has a boyfriend waiting for her outside.

There was also a brief clip of Priya calling Skye stupid during week one when they all hated each other. Skye said she’s used to the housemates calling her stupid by now.

Ryan

Ryan’s hatred of Travis isn’t a secret to viewers, but for Travis, it was news. The 24-year-old importer thought it was funny watching Ryan shred him to pieces, though. He also turned his attention to Skye for having a double standard. According to Ryan, Skye wanted to be treated like an adult, but acted like a child.

“She’s so tacky and disgusting,” Ryan could be heard saying about Skye to another unseen housemate. “She’s just a dumb idiot.”

As for Priya, he called her a “deceitful woman” sometime in the game, but quickly apologised to the 27-year-old schoolteacher after his clips were played.

“I don’t want to be in bad terms with you, I really don’t,” Ryan declared, adding, “I like you as a person.” Priya echoed his sentiment, also declaring her “like” for him as a person.

Skye

Skye’s crush for Ryan wasn’t a secret by then anymore, but still it was worth it to watch Skye squirm with embarrassment as the clips of her verbalising her feelings for the 26-year-old graphic designer showed. But her heart and mind didn’t get along, though, as she nominated Ryan numerous times because he was simply a threat to her.

Big Brother also revealed that Skye found Priya annoying during the first weeks. Skye called her now-BFF opinionated and uninteresting.

While the other housemates either talked it out or just continued their bickering behind the others’ back, Skye opted for a more dramatic denial. She took to her bed and cried until she was found by Travis and Priya. She claimed that for the first time, she wished she didn’t enter the Big Brother house after hearing what the others thought of her.

Later on, Skye and Penny were given use of the sanctuary for the last time. There, the two continued arguing. As expected, Skye wanted Penny to talk about the things she said about her, but Penny appeared to want to avoid confrontation again, and therefore told Skye to let it go.

They seemed to have an enjoyable girls’ night in, though, watching a chick flick and tattling on about the others. From what the episode on Monday showed, it appeared that Skye got all the talking, and Penny let her, careful not to tell the other girl what she really thought.
