Big Day Out (BDO) 2011 will have a second Sydney show after the Australia Day event tickets sold out in minutes!

"With the Wednesday January 26th Sydney BDO tickets snapped up in record time a second Sydney BDO will now be added," said show promoters Ken West and Vivian Lees in a statement published in Big Day Out website.

"It's only the third time in the festival's 19 year history that a second show has been staged in any city."

Music fans can now attend the second Big Day Out 2011 festival in Sydney, also featuring the same bill (as previously reported here) on Thursdsay January 27th 2011, with tickets to be sold next Monday October 11th.

"We a very thankful and proud of the continued popularity and support of the event which enables us present an additional show in Sydney for the second year in a row," added West and Lees.

The rock-inclined line up headlined by Rammstein, Iggy and the Stooges, Grinderman, Tool, Wolfmother and John Butler Trio could be the reason behind the overwhelming demand and quick sell-out for the Big Day Out 2011 tickets. But then again the event had always been popular among teenagers.
