The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) or also known as the Australian version of the Academy Awards rolled out its winners for Aussie television and feature film.

The awarding ceremony was held at Sydney Opera House with Miranda Kerr and Cate Blanchett as some of the presenters. The film "Red Dog" won the Best Film. "Snowtown" also garnered a lot of win. The ceremony also showed highlights from the first AACTA International Awards event that occurred three days ago that honored the best films regardless of country of origin.
