Bill Cosby Twitter Campaign Backfired Badly With Rape Allegations Filling His Page
Bill Cosby's campaign to meme him on Twitter has backfired very badly. The American actor and comedian has posted a picture of himself on Twitter and has asked his followers and lovers to meme him.
What came as a response took the Twitter by surprise. Soon after his tweet, his hash tag was filled with critical posts accusing the actor of being a rapist. The tweets came as a result of the news that the actor has raped multiple women in past few years.
One of the Twitter user blamed the actor of raping 13 women while in another he could be seen with a headphone in a pic with "Now I can't hear you say 'no." written over it. The responses have come to highlight the allegations of rape against the actor for around 13 different women over the past decade, as told by Daily News.
The photo posted by Cosby' marketing team showed the actor with a cap and smiling brightly in the camera. The whole campaign took an ugly turn when the conversation soon turned around rape and sexual assaults.
Twitter's meme generator soon took notice and tried to curb the uproar by filtering the tweets and looking for word like rape and sex and thereby deleting them. The Twitter users also counterattacked and looking for way around to put their point forward, as evident by some tweets mentioned below.
The 77-years old actor came in news when he was thrown limelight as a rapist by the standup comedian Hannibal Buress in one of his live shows. These allegations are dating back to 1970s and many were being hushed down, as told by Jezebel.
Meanwhile, Barbara Bowman has come out with allegations recently with the details given to Washington Post. In her article, she explained that how Cosby win over her trust while she was still a struggling teenage actress. The actor assaulted her multiple times and even drugged and raped her.
