Bill Cosby's Wife Compares Media Attacks On Husband To A Witch-Hunt
Amid the continuous rape allegations against Bill Cosby for weeks, the actor's wife finally spoke out against the attacks on her husband. Bill Cosby's wife compared what the actor is going through to a witch-hunt.
Page Six claims that Camille Cosby, Bill's wife thinks her husband is a victim of false and flawed reporting. To date, more than two dozen women have already come out to said that the actor, 77, have sexually abused them since the 60s. Camille said that the reports on her husband can be compared to the reports done by the Rolling Stone magazine on the rapists of a girl named "Jackie." Ultimately, the reports were proved untrue. Camille is positive that reports on Bill's misdoings would also be proven untrue.
"We all followed the story of the article in Rolling Stone. ... The story was heart-breaking, but ultimately appears to be proved to be untrue,'' Mrs. Cosby said in a written statement. "Many in the media were quick to link that story to stories about my husband - until that story unwound," she added. Camille also added that even though no one would want to be in the position of saying bad things against an alleged victim, the victim in Bill's case is unclear and should be asked. Camille insisted that her husband of 50 years is neither a sexual predator nor a pervert. She described him as "kind," "generous," "funny," and "wonderful." She also said he is a husband, a father, and a friend -- very far from how he is being painted on the recent articles attacking his character.
Camille said the articles circulating about her husband being a sexual predator are biased and not credible. The portrait of Bill Cosby as a sexual abuser for her is painted by individuals and organizations given a pass by media. She said her husband's accusers are not being thoroughly investigated regarding their claims before these accusations are published. Unfortunately, once published, these stories can immediately go viral, Camille says.
Among Bill Cosby's accusers are supermodels Janice Dickinson and Beverly Johnson, who is the first African American model to be given a cover on Vogue magazine. She told Vanity Fair how Cosby drugged her and pulled her down a flight of stairs after she swore at him.
