Two seemingly rigid personalities, Bill Gates and Bill Clinton, had amusingly posed in one selfie while they were having fun.

However, the "having fun" part between these two Bills apparently involved sitting down and talking about development and innovation in a different context and some terrific health projects in Africa.

Through his official blog, Mr Gates wrote that sitting and taking selfie with Mr Clinton was just a part of how he celebrated his Monday afternoon during the United Nations Week in New York.

"Another fun part of the afternoon was sitting down with former President Bill Clinton to talk about development and innovation in a different context. He joined me for a moderated Q&A with writer Steven Levy, whom I've known for many years. Our conversation will be the cover story for the December issue of Wired magazine, which I'm guest-editing. President Clinton has been a tremendous advocate for Africa, both during his time in office and in his work since. Our foundations are collaborating on some terrific health projects in Africa, and I always enjoy my conversations with him. He knows as much about policy and history as anyone I've ever met.

We're both optimistic about the world getting better, though we approach the topic from different directions. I think readers will enjoy the give and take when the story is published online and in the magazine at the end of November," Mr Gates wrote in his blog.

Mr Gates added that his first day in New York was great and he was looking forward to meet with Mr Clinton again at the same event as they planned to discuss about philanthropy. He will also be attending more meetings with the United Nations leaders in the city.

Mr Clinton, on the other hand, had Bono, U2 frontman and president Obama as his guests for the Clinton Global Initiative event.
