Bill Murray set to star in Roman Coppola's film

Veteran actor Bill Murray has signed up to star in the film "A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III". The film will be directed, produced and written by Roman Coppola, older brother of Sofia Coppola who directed Murray in "Lost In Translation", for which he received an Oscar-nomination.

Already confirmed to the project are Patricia Arquette, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Charlie Sheen and Jason Schwartzman. Charlie Sheen is set to star as the films title character, portraying a successful graphic designer who is initially irresistible to women. But once Sheen's character is dumped by his girlfriend he descends into a downward spiral that leads him to reflect on his past relationships. Sheen's character reflects on his failed relationships through a series of delirious fantasies.

It can be seen as something of a coup for Coppola to secure Bill Murray to his production as the actor is renowned for being very selective in what projects he commits to. With Murray and Jason Schwarztman cast, one could probably expect there to be plenty of dry humor in the film. Murray and Schwartzman famously combined to great effect when they starred together in indie hit "Rushmore".

There are currently no indications for a release date as yet but is expected for 2012.
