The year 2014 was indeed full of celebrity stargazing, sport spectacles, bloom of high-end designers and not to forget, the brand names that found its own spots as the most searched in the tech category. This year has been quite big for smartphones and other mobile devices. The list provided by Bing will definitely say much on how these devices performed in the market. Topping the list is the iPhone 6, which is obviously the most popular and most talked about gadget for this year. The Xbox One follows in second while Fitbit ranks in third. Completing the list are: the iPad, Surface Pro 3, Kindle Fire, Windows Phone, Galaxy S4, Chromecast and Google Glass. According to Mashable, it is quite surprising that the Galaxy S5 didn't make it to the list.
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram turned out to be this year's hottest apps. Facebook still proves that it is the world's biggest and most popular social media site after landing on the number 1 spot in the most searched app category for 2014. Twitter remains to be in second and Instagram surprisingly follows in third. "Minecraft", "The Walking Dead: Season 2" and "Plants vs. Zombies" are this year's most searched Xbox games in Bing. Other popular Xbox games include: "Destiny", "Grand Theft Auto V", "Evolve", "Halo: Master Chief Collection", "Titanfall", "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" and "Battlefield 4".
In other lists, Kim Kardashian tops the most searched personality ousting Beyonce in the number spot. "Frozen" as most popular movie and "The Big Bang Theory" topped the TV shows category.
