Andre Johnson was excited for Halloween in this week's episode of "Black-ish." He explained that it's his favourite holiday due to the John Wu action movie decorations but most importantly because of the family tradition of pranking each other. He considers himself to be the Prank King and he's excited to see what kind of pranks his family has cooked up this year.

Looking back at Andre's old pranks, he once pretended to bring home a newborn baby cousin and dropped it in front of the kids, freaking them out. He also once left evidence of a mistress for Rainbow to follow to their room making her think that he was hiding her in the closet. It turned out to be a prank and the kids were waiting for her in the closet.

This year, when Bow tried to prank Andre with a fake spider, it backfired on her, as he planted another spider for her to discover and she ended up getting a magazine superglued to her hands when she tried to smack the spider.

One evening, the twins entered the couple's room to ask if they can join them in bed because they got scared by a nightmare. The kids then proceeded to pee on the bed and called it a prank. Andre was appalled and called a family meeting to explain how pranks are supposed to work and it doesn't include peeing on each other. He then told his daughter Zoey to guide the younger kids because she's been the one who has been able to pull off pretty good pranks in the past. However, to Andre's disappointment, Zoey said that she's outgrown pranks and she's no longer interested in doing it this year.

Meanwhile, at the office, the annoying co-worker Josh was also in a pranking mood and he hid in a trash can to startle everyone. He ended up getting smacked in the face when he startled Chris who used the prank as an excuse to hit Josh. This led to an office ban on pranking which dampened the Halloween mood even further for Andre.

When Andre got home, he found out that not only does his family not want to participate in upholding the tradition of pranking each other, they also didn't want to wear costumes. Instead, they had gone out to the movies, leaving him at home alone. As he was trying to tuck in with a bag of candy on the couch, he heard a noise that led him to believe that there is an intruder in the house. A home invasion is Andre's biggest fear and when the lights went out, he started to freak out and he crawled under the table then tried to escape through the fireplace.

Meanwhile, Rainbow and the kids were upstairs watching everything through the CCTV. They pretended not to care about Halloween to set up Andre. They kept freaking him out with strange noises until they finally went down for the big reveal. When they went down to tell Andre that he's been pranked, Junior saw that there's actually a man that's trying to get in the house. When the guy got in, everyone freaked out and Rainbow punched the guy in the face. It turns out, it's Josh, Andre's officemate whom he enlisted to help prank the family. Apparently, he knew what their plan was all along and just when they thought they have outsmarted him, the Prank King revealed that he was, like always, one step ahead of them.
