Black Labrador Eclipse Goes To Dog Park By Bus Alone In Seattle
A black Labrador named Eclipse rose to fame after it was spotted riding the bus alone in Seattle. Commuters in Belltown reported being surprised to see the 2-year-old dog roam the aisles and hop onto seats next to strangers.
Eclipse does not always go to the dog park by bus alone a few times a week. Sometimes, she visits the park with her owner Jeff Young. They live at 3 Ave. W. and W. Mercer Street, which near the bus stop.
According to Young, Eclipse’s solo ride to the park started when it took him too long to smoke one cigarette. Since then, the black Labrador started getting on the bus without her owner, who later on would catch up with her at the dog park.
“It's not hard to get on. She gets on in front of her house and she gets off at the dog park, three or four stops later,” Young told Komo News. He added that Eclipse has been totally urbanised and described her as a “bus-riding, sidewalk-walking dog.”
A Metro Transit spokesman also told the agency loves the fact that a dog appreciates public transit. While on the bus, Eclipse can even be seen doing her part to clean the bus by licking the rails.
