'Black Sails' Season 3 episode 2 scene: Eleanor defends herself to Woodes Rogers [WATCH VIDEO]
A scene from “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 2 has been teased by Starz in a new video. The scene shows a conversation between Eleanor and Woodes Rogers about the future of the island Nassau.
[Spoiler alert]
Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) had previously offered to help Eleanor Guthrie (Hannah New), if she in turn agreed to help him subdue the pirates of Nassau. Eleanor had agreed and had given the future governor of the Bahamas the name of a pirate who he should focus his efforts on.
A scene from the next episode of the TV series shows a skeptical Rogers asking Eleanor why he should trust her. Eleanor tells him that Nassau was once home to her father and it is her “birth right” and responsibility to see the island “set right” by making sure that “the monsters” living in it are “driven out.”
“You don’t have to trust me…because we have mutual self interest,” Eleanor says in the video. She tells Woodes that the fact that their interests are aligned, it makes them “better partners.”
Commenting on the video, one of the fans expressed anger at the character for betraying all the pirates. It will be interesting to see how Eleanor’s “betrayal” will affect the other characters in “Black Sails” Season 3.
Subduing the pirates has become crucial for England as Flint (Toby Stephens) and his crew have been making a name for themselves by looting and plundering at will. The legend of Captain Flint and his pirates is only growing and with that the fear of the capabilities of the pirates.
England will also have to now face the infamous pirate Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson). The pirate has decided to go to Nassau and take up his old profession once again.
In the premiere episode of “Black Sails” Season 3 Blackbeard was searching for Captain Vane (Zach McGowan). The two characters have a history together and will be working together again soon.
