'Black Sails' Season 3 spoilers: Mapleton describes Eleanor's 'true nature' to Max in new clip
Starz has released a new video that shows a scene from “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 9. The scene is an interaction between Mapleton and Max, in which the former describes the “true nature” of Eleanor.
[Spoiler alert]
Mapleton (Fiona Ramsay) has no respect for Eleanor (Hannah New) and believes that she is sowing the seeds of her own destruction. Speaking with Max (Jessica Parker Kennedy), Mapleton explains how she observed Eleanor over the years and saw her in both good times and bad.
She explained to Max that Eleanor managed to defeat her enemies, sitting on the same chair in which Max was sitting. However, Mapleton also feels that Eleanor managed to create new enemies and by doing this she sowed the seeds of her own destruction.
Mapleton says that some people “thrive” only when they are sowing the seeds of their own destruction. So, even though Eleanor may be having new clothes and new friends at the moment; she looks like the same person to Mapleton.
The next episode in “Black Sails” Season 3 will focus on the impending battle between Flint’s forces and the forces Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) commands. Eleanor has been assisting Woodes in his quest to take control of Nassau.
The trailer of the next episode shows Eleanor concerned about Flint managing to fight the decisive battle on his terms. She warns of a “disastrous” outcome, in case Flint manages to pull off what he has planned.
Billy (Tom Hopper) confirms in the trailer that the resistance on the island is now underway. So, Woodes will have to fight the battle on two fronts in the next episode of “Black Sails” Season 3. While Captain Hornigold (Patrick Lyster) fights the combined forces of pirates and former slaves, the pirates on the island may take on the British soldiers stationed there.
