'Black Sails' season 4 episode 8 preview video: Skeleton Island prepares to claim more lives
The pirates are all heading to Skeleton Island in “Black Sails” season 4 episode 8. A preview video shows how Flint, Long John Silver, Governor Woodes Rogers and Rackham are heading in the same direction, with each character driven by his own self interest in mind. The following article contains spoilers.
“One way or another, Skeleton Island will claim many more lives before this is over,” the post along with the preview video [see below] states. So, who are likely to die? Any of the major characters, except perhaps Long John Silver (Luke Arnold), could meet their end.
Flint (Toby Stephens) suggested they think of an alternate plan, when they were asked to return the last remaining portion of the Urca treasure in exchange for Madi (Zethu Dlomo). That plan will not go well, the preview video shows. Long John Silver has his own plan, which he will put in motion. It appears the idea Billy Bones (Tom Hopper) had about splitting the two leaders of the pirates may work after all.
While it was Billy who gave Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) a way out of his current predicament, things don’t seem to be going well for the pirate either in “Black Sails” season 4 episode 8. The Governor’s blood thirsty way of doing things continues, and he can be seen pointing his gun at Hopper’s character in one of the scenes.
Rogers hates the pirates. On the surface, he is driven by the principle of saving civilization from the people who seek to destroy it. However, the pain of losing Eleanor (Hannah New), who was pregnant at the time of her brutal death, may be eating him up on the inside. The TV series has already shown the ruthless side of the Governor, now he may be going over the edge.
While the Governor and the pirates play their cards, Rackham (Toby Schmitz) has the task of killing Flint. The death would ensure the money he has been promised to rebuild Nassau, and the relentless war against the British could end.
All these different storylines will play out on Skeleton Island in “Black Sails” season 4 episode 8. The TV series is now heading towards a grand finale, which will also mark the end of the show. This is the fourth year the pirates of Nassau have entertained and shocked the fans. Starz has so far not announced any plans to make a spin-off series.
