BlackBerry has announced that it is going to host events in London, Dubai and Toronto. The invite-only proceedings, which will apparently help invitees "See The Bigger Picture," are going to be held on Sep 24. The Inside BlackBerry team is going to be present at the events. In addition to that, there will be industry guests and media. BlackBerry, however, decided to keep the number of guests at the events limited as the list of attendees would be exclusive.

Company CEO John Chen earlier said that the BlackBerry could see "great opportunities ahead of" the company. The company continues to make "significant headway" on its plan to get back to "growth and profitability." "Risk is always there, but I am confident we have taken the necessary steps to alleviate it to the degree that we can," Chen said.

The Canadian company was earlier listed among companies which are likely to close down in 2015. 24/7 Wall Street published a list in July 2014 that showcased ""10 Brands That Will Disappear in 2015." BlackBerry, speculated to "disappear in 2015," has almost "run out of its nine lives," according to the Web site. The company's downfall had apparently started after Apple introduced iPhone in 2007. It reportedly suffered further damage when Google introduced Android operating system for mobiles in 2008.

While many experts probably believe that BlackBerry's days are over, the Canadian tech company may still have the capability to pull a rabbit out of hat and save itself. The product which may give the company another chance to launch a comeback to the mobile industry is BlackBerry Passport. BlackBerry may use the September events to give more details about the product.

What We Already Know about BlackBerry Passport

The BlackBerry Passport will have a 4.5-inch screen with 1440x1440 pixel display. The display is expected to provide unique clarity for medical documents like X-Ray reports. There will be an innovative keyboard which is touch-enabled. The keyboard will allow a more precise communication. The battery will be large enough to run all day. The BlackBerry Passport is expected to be most suitable for professional use.
