"The Blacklist" is taking its break after airing 10 episodes full of twisted mysteries and action. The premiere episode introduced the character of Red, the most wanted criminal on FBI's list. He was once part of the government's agency, but ditched it and crossed over to the crime side.

One fine day, Red suddenly appears at FBI's office and volunteers to help them rat out some of the most dangerous criminals in the world. He has been blacklisted. There are names in the blacklist that even FBI does not have in their database. However, there is one condition. Red will only talk to Elizabeth, and no one else in the FBI.

Each episode has revealed that there is more to Red's story than a government agent gone rogue. He has a special connection with Liz. To keep that connection a secret, he killed Liz's father who had adopted her when she was 4 years old. Is he Liz's father? That is the question Liz asked him in the closing scene of Episode 10. After a brief pause, he replied, "No" and warned her to be careful of her husband. Red had called Liz to inform her that he will be gone for a short while.

What will happen when Red returns after his short break? We speculate that Liz might be a little wary of her husband and not trust him, completely. She is likely not to pack her stuff and stop being an FBI agent. Agent Ressler will be a different man and be a little less hostile towards Red, after all, Red and Red's blood saved his life. It will be interesting to watch the threat that will make Red to surface again. Crowley looks like he is the main force lined against Red. We might get to see more of him in the upcoming episode. It is highly unlikely that any of the mystery will be solved in Episode 11. The new episode will again throw some crumbs and hold back the mystery answer book.

NBC has renewed "The Blacklist" for Season 2. Bob Greenblatt, NB chairman said in a statement, "The success of The Blacklist demonstrates that inspired storytelling is alive and well in broadcast television, and I'm impressed on a daily basis by this creative team's imagination and the extent to which they will go to capture this grand vision on film."

"With gratitude to both our partners at Sony Pictures Television and our NBC development executives who took a great script and shepherded it into a great series, I hope that Red Reddington never runs out of names to bring down on his list!"

"The Blacklist" is scheduled to return Jan. 13, 2014, with new episodes.
