The episode 9 of "The Blacklist," "Anslo Garrick-Part 1," probably provided the first glimpse of dark forces that are lined against Red. And, to what they extent, they can go to bring him down. The episode added to the complex character of Red, and the writers of "The Blacklist" are not going to simplify his character any time soon. But before that, the writers of "The Blacklist" have put Red in the danger zone and have made him the only target on the blacklist.

In the previous episode, Anslo Garrick gets inside the top secret, maximum security headquarters of FBI. This dangerous man on the blacklist is looking for Red to take his revenge as Red had put a gun on his head. Agent Ressler's leg gets badly wounded in an encounter with Garrick's men. In the Glass Box, Red tries to fix the leg of Ressler and keep his conscious. He also does the blood transfusion as they both share the same blood group. Since Garrick is unable to get Red out of the glass box, he kills his female assistant and the bodyguard, as well.

In the preview clip of the part 2 of "Anslo Garrick-Part 2," Garrick's next target is Liz. One can see Garrick putting a gun on Liz's head. If Red does not step out of the Glass Box, Agent Keene will die. Agent Ressler and Cooper are not eager to give the code and put Red's life at risk. Red is ready to kill Agent Ressler to get the code out of him as he says, "circumstances have changed."
