‘The Blacklist' major season 4 finale questions we need answered in season 5
"The Blacklist" returns to NBC in April 20
Nail-biting spy series “The Blacklist” is currently on break to give some time for Tom Keen to show audiences his family background and other issues with the spin-off series “The Blacklist: Redemption.” While a sort-of re-focusing would work to the delight of a lot of fans, it cannot be denied that episode 15, titled “Apothecary,” left more questions than answers.
Over the course of its run, “The Blacklist” has given viewers a lot of twists and turns and has not been short on shockers. For a show that follows a man as mysterious and unpredictable as Raymond Reddington (James Spader) this comes of little surprise and it looks like the mysteries will keep coming.
One of the coming episodes will usher the return of a major character in Susan Blommaert’s Mr. Kaplan, writes Cinema Blend. In fact, there will an entire slot dedicated to her origins, how she and Red met and went into “business,” and other fascinating details about her life.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait to get their updates on the character since Mr. Kaplan cannot return until “The Blacklist” does in the middle of April. However, fans can take comfort in knowing that the long wait will be worth all the trouble.
Another big question for fans would be if Dembe really did betray Red. It would be very hard to believe that Dembe would turn his back on his greatest friend and ally in such a devastating manner. Over the course of the entire series, he had been a loyal friend, even in situations that placed him in danger. However, knowing how “The Blacklist” is capable of turning things 180-degrees, this might be possible.
Fans might also wonder if they have seen the last of Lulu, since she had been a memorable character. She had been a calming force during Red’s bouts of craziness, especially when he was doing everything he can to find out who poisoned him. There were some sketchy details about Lulu since she lived just across Red’s lawyer. We’re hoping that the mystery behind her true motives will be unveiled soon.
Finally, Enrique Murciano has been cast as another major character in “The Blacklist.” Marciano will take the role of Julian Gale, an FBI investigator who was once Ressler’s (Diego Klattenhoff) colleague. What he can to bring to the team and why is there remains to be seen.
“The Blacklist” returns April 20 on NBC in the US. In Australia, it will air on Channel Seven.
