The previous episode of "The Blacklist" provided a glimpse of Red's past life, while Liz started making a fresh start with her husband after his acquittal. In the new episode of "The Blacklist," "General Ludd," Liz's father is likely to be introduced.

We may probably get to know about the relationship between Red and Liz's father and how Liz is related to Red. However, we cannot expect to know why Red picked Liz as it is too early to reveal that. According to a report published by E! Online, Tom's truth was all set to be revealed in episode 5. However, the writers of "The Blacklist" thought it was too early to do that and left it open.

In the preview of the "The Blacklist" episode 8, "General Ludd": a man -- who might be Liz's father, can be seen telling Red: "I've to tell her truth." Red stops him from doing that. He says: "I can't let you do that."

As we have been predicting, there is some connection between Liz's husband Tom and Red. And, it looks like we are going to soon find what that connection is. Ryan Eggold, who plays Tom in "The Blacklist," revealed to E! Online that he recently did his first scene with James Spader, who plays Red, and that is was "awesome."

"We finally got to shoot a scene together and he is super generous as an actor and came into my room and talked about the scene and his thoughts, the actor said. He also said that it is a "short scene" but one of the "harder scenes" that he has done for the show.

.".. Only because both James and I are kind of playing two people at once, and playing two things at once, two possibilities at once. So there's a very fine line to walk and to find. It was a lot of fun," Eggold said to E! Online.

"Liz uncovers an elaborate plot to destroy the country's financial system when a new name on the Blacklist is revealed by Red. Meanwhile Tom supports Liz when a family member falls ill," according to the official synopsis of "The Blacklist" Episode 8, "General Ludd."
