Spoiler alert: This recap contains "The Blacklist" Season 3 spoilers. Read on if you what to find out what happens in the latest episode.
The episode began with Red offering Liz a trust account for her kid. Liz, however, refused. Red proceeded to tell her about a case similar to the fairy tale “Hansel and Gretel,” where children are kidnapped and killed by a woman called Lady Ambrosia. Liz attempted to evaluate a boy named Ethan, who suddenly appeared after he was believed to be dead. Ethan’s parents were planning to put him up for adoption days before his disappearance.
Noah (Mark Blum) and his wife, Lady Ambrosia, were responsible for the disappearing kids. Noah wanted to keep Ethan’s family quiet by having his son kill Ethan’s mother. Noah appeared with a gun at Liz’s place looking for Ethan. After a brief debacle, one of Red’s men managed to take down Noah.
Later, Red was revealed to be interested in Lady Ambrosia, because he was searching for Vasila Patinka (JelenaStupljanin), a former KGB agent. Red wanted to look into the Poctoba Files. Vasila’s daughter, Anya, was actually among the children at Lady Ambrosia’s. Red got to Ambrosia’s home first and was able to save Anya. Later, it was shown that Ambrosia took disabled children and murdered them because she believes that she was saving them from a cruel world.
After Red saved Anya, he received the files he needed from the girl’s mother. Red may have been lying about the fate of Liz’s mother.
At the end of the episode, Liz contacted Tom (Ryan Eggold). It turned out that Ryan was betrayed by his ex-girlfriend Gina (Margarita Levieva) and he was trying to survive while being admitted into a hospital.
Liz may also be deciding to keep the baby after all, although she might need more assurance and convincing from the people around her.
The next episode of “The Blacklist” Season 3, titled “Drexel,” will air on Feb. 18. More updates and details are expected soon.
