Spoiler alert! This article contains "Girl Meets World" spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.
“Lipet’s Seafood Company” may be among the strangest episodes in “The Blacklist.” The title could refer to a seafood establishment that serves as a front to an actual secret operation. There will be much to discover in the midseason premiere, particularly after Red (James Spader) told Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) that Liz (Megan Boone) is his daughter. Although the truth to the alleged relationship is not expected to be confirmed soon, there will be a lot to discover in the new story.
The Episode 9 synopsis states that the allegiances of the Task Force will be tested when an investigation is conducted into an international terrorist operating on US soil. Aram (Amir Arison) faces the effects of his girlfriend hacking into FBI computer systems, while Red will cash in on a favor. However, Red may not get the best results since he will be dealing with a dangerous criminal.
The Blacklist Twitter account featured a promo trailer for “Lipet’s Seafood Company.” In “Blacklist” Season 4 Episode 8, Red found out that there is a mole in his team. Based on the teaser, the traitor may be Aram, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) or Samar (Mozhan Marno). Among the three, Samar is the convenient culprit, since she came from Iran and has a vague history. Samar became a Mossad agent after the government had her parents executed. There is still no sign that she is actually connected to any terrorist organization, although it could show that she is quite adept at keeping secrets.
The trailer also showed Harold (Larry Lenix) telling the mole to decide where his or her loyalty lies. Apparently, Red and Harold knew who the mole is and may only be waiting for the person to step forward -- or they may both keep it a secret. In the meantime, Liz will commence her own investigation to determine who is leaking information from the FBI.
“The Blacklist” Season 4 Episode 9 will air on NBC on January 5, 2017. In Australia, it will air on Channel Seven.
