"The Blacklist" is back after a week's break, with an episode that is the first part of a two-parter. Red's life will be in danger in these two episodes as an old colleague of his will try to assassinate him. The episode 9 and episode 10 are called "Anslo Garrick." The upcoming, two episodes are also likely to show the permanent change in Agent Ressler's character.

Talking about the upcoming episode, John Eisendrath, executive producer of "The Blacklist," said to TV Guide that "Anslo Garrick is a man who makes a living extracting people out of very difficult locations."

Eisendrath also revealed that Red and Garrick had worked together and were colleagues. Garrick has "a very personal relationship with Red, exceeding any of the Blacklisters we've seen so far," the executive producer said. "That went sideways when Red put a bullet in the guy's head. It put a crimp in things."

The episode will also introduce a character called Crowley. He also has a past link with Red. Crowley's character will provide "a very small window into the much larger picture, the forces that may be lining up against Red," according to Einsendrath.

In episode 9 of "The Blacklist, according to Ryan Eggold, who plays Liz's husband Tom, Red and Ressler will go through a crazy experience.

Eggold said to Huffington Post that "... important about this episode is the relationship between Red and Ressler." He is probably talking about Agent Ressler trying to save Red, protecting him from a possible assassination attempt.

"The episode will definitely change Diego's character permanently, which is awesome," Eggold said.

Episode 9 of "The Blacklist": "Donald attempts to protect Red from a possible assassination attempt but is misled. The newest member on the blacklist, Anslo Garrick, infiltrates the FBI black site and tries to capture Red. Meanwhile Liz gets caught in an elevator and tries to figure out what is going on."

Episode 10 of "The Blacklist": "Liz infiltrates the blacksite and disarms the signal jammers to call in backup but runs into trouble along the way. The fate of Ressler hangs in the balance as Red tries to bargain with Anslo Garrick. Meanwhile, Tom (Ryan Eggold) becomes increasingly worried about Liz' situation and the fate of Red is unknown."
