Blake Griffin Injury Update: Clippers star leaves Game 3 with toe injury

The Los Angeles Clippers suffered a major setback Friday when star forward Blake Griffin injured his right big toe against the Utah Jazz in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series. Griffin was forced to leave the game before the end of the second quarter.
With 3:53 left in the first half, Griffin was seen limping after making a transition layup (see below). He walked away from the court just 36 seconds later. Television cameras caught Griffin slamming a chair in frustration before leaving the courtside area. According to several reports, he underwent X-rays soon after and the Clippers will now await the results before Sunday's Game 4 back in Utah.
Despite Griffin's injury, the Clippers pulled off a 111-106 victory to take a 2-1 series lead. After the game, Clippers coach Doc Rivers hinted that Griffin could miss Game 4. "Well Blake, i think he's doing a cat scan. We're going to evaluate tonight. We should have more news tomorrow. So, we don't know is the answer."
Griffin is an unrestricted free agent this summer. Though the 28-year-old is expected to attract max-level offers from interested suitors, several teams could be hesitant to sign him due to his recent injury history. Stay tuned for the latest news and updates surrounding NBA Playoffs 2017.
