Blond teen branded to be the next Justin Bieber
14-year-old Australia's Got Talent superstar, Jack Vidgen, is attracting global fans as early as now, with critics dubbing him as the nation's answer to Justin Bieber.
Jack Vidgen's striking blond hair, irresistible boyish charm, and mesmerizing voice easily captured the judges of Australia's Got Talent, and the1.9 million people who tuned in to see him seem to love him as well. Week after week, Vidgen won the crowd singing hits from Whitney Houston and the movie Dreamgirls. The boy from Sydney is taking over the web - with more than 40 Facebook fan pages and millions of hits on his YouTube videos. The humble boy with the big voice is proving he has a chance on the global platform, even if the show is still running.
Vidgen certainly caught the eye of the AGT judge Mark Holden, saying the blond charmer could be the country's next big "export". The judge claims Vidgen has what it takes to become a huge international sensation and that they're happy to jumpstart his promising career. The 14-year-old from Sydney has already won various citations for his singing, including the Warringah Eisteddfod Junior Vocal Championship and the Rotary Club's Young Musician of the Year award last year.
In one of his vocal performances, the young balladeer sang Whitney Houston's famous hit I Have Nothing, letting out a powerful and magnetic voice that's truly world class. Though exemplary and unique, Jack Vidgen is often compared to Britain's Got Talent's 12-year-old Ronan Parke. Parke is celebrated for his one-of-a-kind renditions of Nina Simone's Feeling Good and Adele's Make You Feel My Love. ATG judge Mark Holden puts his money on Vidgens, saying "he (Ronan Parke) doesn't have the amazing instrument or the blond Aussie bombshell of our Jack" in an article posted at the Herald Sun.
