"Blue Bloods" starring Donnie Wahlberg as Daniel "Danny" Reagan, Tom Selleck as Francis "Frank" Reagan, Jennifer Esposito as Jackie Curatola, Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan, Will Estes (Jamison "Jamie" Reagan) and Len Cariou (Henry Reagan), will air "Partners" (Season 5, episode 1) on Friday, Sept. 23, 2014. "Blue Bloods" Season 5, episode 1 "Partners" is directed by David M. Barrett and written by Siobhan Byrne-O'Connor. According to the Futon Critic, in "Partners," Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) and Danny will be on an assignment to escort some confiscated drugs that will be destroyed. Unfortunately, Baez will be critically wounded after her convoy gets attacked along the way. Danny will try to track down the perpetrator which could be someone who is involved in the drug cartel. As for Frank, he must tread lightly as the New York Police Department, or NYPD gets involved in a controversy with a lieutenant there.

Aside from Wahlberg, Selleck, Moynahan, Estes, Esposito, Cariou and Ramirez, the other stars of "Blue Bloods" are Amy Carlson (Linda Reagan), Sami Gayle (Nicole "Nicky" Reagan-Boyle) and Nicholas Turturro (Anthony Renzulli).

The Internet Movie Database, or IMDb also reported that "Blue Bloods" Season 5, episode 1 "Partners" will feature Peter Conboy (New York City Police Officer), Alex Ziwak (Undercover Detective), Chris Skeries (Office Worker), Noah Fleiss (Paul), Daniel Sauli (Siblano), Jay Hieron (Ramon Sanchez), Tanya Perez (Agent Martinez) and Ignacyo Matynia (Lacrosse Player).
