"Blue Bloods" starring Donnie Wahlberg (Daniel "Danny" Reagan), Tom Selleck (Francis "Frank" Reagan), Will Estes (Jamison "Jamie" Reagan), Len Cariou (Henry Reagan) and Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan) will air "Shoot the Messenger" (Season 5, episode 7) on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. This episode is about Frank's on-air interview and a drive-by shooting that Danny will investigate with his new boss. Spoiler Alert! "Blue Bloods" Season 5, episode 7 "Shoot the Messenger" is directed by David Barrett and written by Siobhan Byrne O'Connor. According to the Futon Critic and TV Guide, in "Shoot the Messenger," Frank will be interviewed on-air. Unfortunately, an interim District Attorney will blindside him live on TV. They won't see eye to eye about a certain issue. As for Danny, he will ride with his new boss, instead of his usual partner. They will spend some time getting to know each other. However, their differences will become evident when they come across a drive-by shooting which they will both investigate.

The official YouTube channel of "Blue Bloods" posted a preview of "Shoot the Messenger." It also shows Frank learning about who Erin is seeing nowadays and Danny rescuing a baby who survived the drive-by shooting.
