'Blue Bloods' Season 7 Episode 4 spoilers: A key character falls victim to a gang attack; community deals with a crisis in ‘Mob Rules’

This week, “Blue Bloods” promises to deliver another episode that will keep its audience on the edge of their seats. On Friday, the fourth episode of Season 7, titled “Mob Rules,” focuses on gangs that create havoc in the community. When one of their own gets attacked, the NYPD decides to take on the growing problem.

While Lt Gormley (Robert Clohessy) is not a member of the Reagan family, they consider him a close friend. Frank (Tom Selleck), along with the others, pulls out all the stops to capture the people responsible for the attack. Steve Schirripa returns to reprise his role as Anthony Abetemarco on the upcoming episode, joining other other “Blue Bloods” cast members Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), Jamie (Will Estes), Henry (Len Cariou), Linda (Amy Carlson), Nicky (Sami Gayle), Det. Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) and Officer Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray).

According to TV Guide, Friday’s episode focuses on Danny as he pursues a witness to testify against a mob leader. Meanwhile, the Reagan family seek justice for Lt Gromley, who gets beaten by a gang outside his house. They turn to Anthony for help. Elsewhere, Eddie and Jamie witness a bad arrest.

CBS has posted a sneak peek of the Oct. 14 episode of “Blue Bloods” on its official site. In the trailer, Lt Gromley tries to pacify a gang who’s making a racket outside his house. One of the mob members taunts him to call a cop. When he says he is a cop, Lt Gromley is mercilessly attacked. Frank visits him at the hospital and decides to take on the gangs. He addresses the community and tells them, “We have a common goal. Put an end on the blood on these streets.” It seems the gangs are taking over the neighbourhood and it seems Danny’s also a likely victim when a member pulls his gun and aims on him.

“Mob Rules” is directed by Robert Harmon and written by Peter Blauner.
