"Boardwalk Empire" Season 4 has toned down on the sex and nudity. Drugs and violence, however, are not in short supply. Viewers witnessed a lot of blood in Episode 5 and also had to bid good bye to one of the characters.

Nucky Thompson:

Eli's son is brought in by the authorities for questioning. The death of the student in college is being investigated and the district attorney is under a lot of pressure to find the person responsible.

Nucky had to pull a few strings to keep his nephew from being charged with man slaughter. The room mate who helped Nucky's nephew may become a patsy for the unfortunate incident. Will this incident act as initiation for Nucky's nephew into a life of crime? He is turning out to be more important in "Boardwalk Empire" Season 4.

Al Capone:

Al Capone grieves the loss of his brother, who gets shot by the Chicago detectives. The Capone gang was trying to influence the voters to vote for the Republican Party. Capone's brother was shot while he was trying to save Capone's life.

George Muller was about to shoot Capone, this was seen by his brother. But before he could do anything he was shot. Capone doesn't know George wanted to shoot him and we see him crying over his brother's body. Will the enraged gangster unleash a flood of violence in the "Boardwalk Empire" Season 4?

Darmody and Drugs:

Gillian Darmody is sinking deeper into the dark abyss of drugs, the tell tale signs of dark circles under her eyes have already begun to appear. She is also fighting a losing battle to gain custody of her grandson Tommy.

Gillian is now ready to do anything to get her hands on some drugs; her search for drugs gets her in contact with Chalky White's right hand man, who is dealing in drugs without Chalky's knowledge. Will the new man in Gillian's life save her from drugs or will things spiral out of control?

Gillian could play a vital role in the fight between Dr Narcisse and Chalky White. With all her problems and need for drugs she could be a pawn this time in "Boardwalk Empire" Season 4.

Goodbye Eddie:

Eddie, who was taken away by agent Knox in the previous episode, could not hold his ground. The combination of physical torture and a secret from his past made him spill the beans about Nucky.

Apparently Eddie stole from his previous employer after having an affair. He left Germany in a hurry and left his wife and children to bear the brunt of the shame. The fact that he now betrayed the trust of Nucky was too much for the old man. He dressed himself in a good suite and jumped off the window to his death.

Is this the end of Eddie? Or will we see him in a hospital in the next episode of "Boardwalk Empire" Season 4?
