'The Bold and the Beautiful’ cast updates: Casting call for new bisexual character opens
CBS Daytime’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” is reportedly on the lookout to cast a bisexual male for the role of a new character named Christian. Aside from Christian’s sexual preference, another requirement of the show is good looks and amazing style.
Daytime Confidential reports that the drama series is searching for a white male between 25 and 28 years old to take on the role of Christian. Christian is a character who works in the fashion industry. He is described as sophisticated, professional, with a great fashion sense and some humour as well. Christian should also be handsome and into both guys and girls.
There is still no news on who Christian’s love interest will be, but there are plenty of characters who have the potential to start a relationship with him. Christian may reportedly either be paired with a new male or bisexual character, too, or there might be a huge revelation involving one of the established characters of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
Some of the possible picks include Thomas (Pierson Fode), Oliver (Zach Conroy) and Carter (Lawrence St. Victor). Christian may also have a female partner, although it is more likely for the show to introduce a new character for the role. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is the only single female of the bunch at the moment. Regardless of Christian's future partner, the show is set to spark controversies with its new approach.
Soap Opera Story notes that in the previous episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) was getting closer to Wyatt (Darin Brooks), the brother of her ex-boyfriend Liam. Ivy continues to deal with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) over the death of Aly. The former still believes that the latter had a role in Aly’s sudden death, despite her denial. There will be a lot of challenges against Steffy and her brother Thomas. Steffy got angry with Ivy’s persistence and vowed to go after her if she continued.
There were also talks that after Aly’s death, Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon) might also be removed from the show soon. Thorne might not have that much to do after the death of both his wife Darla and daughter Aly.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs from Mondays to Fridays at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
