‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ spoilers for Jan. 5: Promises, lies, love and sex plague ‘B&B’ characters

A new year has come, but the same problems and conflicts continue to hound “The Bold and Beautiful” (“B&B”), especially on its upcoming episode. On Thursday, Quinn (Rena Sofer) confides in Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) about the struggles she’s been having about her marriage and her career.

Quinn confidently vows that she’ll never be unfaithful to Eric (John McCook), but fans know that her actions speak louder than her words. Apart from flirting with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) on numerous occasions, she also had fantasies about him. It would be interesting to see if Ivy believes her, or if she’ll rat Quinn out. Other “The Bold and the Beautiful” characters who will figure prominently on the Jan. 5 installment include Eric (John McCook), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks).

TV Guide reports that on Thursday’s episode of “B&B,” Quinn opens up to Ivy about her ongoing problems in the professional and personal aspects of her life. Meanwhile, Ridge visits Eric to make a last-ditch effort in changing the family patriarch’s mind about the CEO position.

The show’s official YouTube channel posted a preview video for the Jan. 5 episode [watch below]. It features multiple scenes with Quinn, Ivy, Liam, Steffy, Wyatt, Eric and Ridge.

Quinn opens the clip as she insists, “I haven’t betrayed Eric, and I never will.” Ivy doesn’t look convinced and orders Quinn, “Look me in the eyes and tell me you have no desire for Ridge.”

Steffy also figures in the scene as she assures Liam, “I’m moving out, but once the divorce is final, I’m going to come back to you.” He, however, expresses, “I just wish you’d realise how much Quinn is behind all these.”

Elsewhere, Eric tells Wyatt, “I hope the two of you find the same love and commitment that I’ve come to find in Quinn.” Later, Eric gets a visit from Ridge, who says, “I’m trying to make you see the harsh reality of what you’ve unleashed in all of us.”

On Wednesday, Ivy confronted Quinn, asking her if she cheated on Eric. Quinn told her about that time when Ridge saw her naked in the shower, but nothing happened. She also asked Ivy to keep quiet about everything. Ivy ordered Quinn to stop flirting with Ridge. When Quinn confessed that Ridge touched her, Ivy was shocked. Quinn quickly assured Ivy that she’s not attracted to Ridge. Ivy expressed her concern that Ridge may be plotting something, but Quinn promised she won’t let him destroy her marriage.

Meanwhile, Eric expressed his glee after finding out that Steffy has moved out from Liam’s home. However, he asked for something else: to live in the mansion with him, Quinn and Wyatt. Steffy reeled at her grandfather’s request, saying that she’s not a gift he can give his wife. Eric became candid with her, saying that he wants her with Wyatt. He wanted her to have what he has with Quinn.
