Bollywood Spice: Anushka Sharma is Avoiding Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt to be Cast Opposite Ranbir Kapoor
Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif are reportedly not on good terms and according to rumours, Anushka is trying to avoid Ranbir Kapoor's girlfriend. The long-legged Bollywood beauty has been cast opposite Ranbir in Anurag Kashyap's ambitious period movie Bombay Velvet. As reported earlier, Katrina and Ranbir were spotted together in Sri Lanka, where the shooting of the movie is currently going on.
The Hindustan Times reports that "Anushka left for Sri Lanka early on Sunday, only after Katrina had come back to the city." The actress is now in the Emerald Island for a shooting schedule of 40 days. One can only hope that Katrina gets busy with Bang Bang and does not start missing her boy friend.
It looks like the lady luck is eluding Katrina when it comes to her keen desire to pair-up with her boy-friend on-screen. Anurag Basu and Ranbir's Shuru Productions is expected to soon go on floors with its first offering, 'Jagga Jasoos', and the producers are likely to zero on the name of Ali Bhatt to star opposite Ranbir. The Times of India reports that the makers are still looking for the second lead. Katrina is not going to do a second lead role and producers are no longer keen on pairing the real life hot couple, and her boy-friend refuses to recommend her.
"Anurag is busy with the script of the film and he is leaving no stone unturned to perfect the draft. In the middle of all this, he has met Alia and spoke to her about the film. The makers feel that she will be just apt for the role," a source told The Times of India.
It is the season of alleged Bollywood couples making their statements via leaked pictures or gushing about someone special in interviews, but still denying that it's a romantic alliance. Ranbir's ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone is in a full praise mood for her rumoured, current boy-friend Ranveer Singh. In an interview given to Femina, she said, "He is adorable. He has said he loves me in more ways than one. I think even to newspaper."
"He is nowhere as brash as or over the top as everyone thinks he is. Actually, if you know him the way I do, you will meet someone who is very sensitive, deeply emotional, someone who loves to make people laugh."
Sweet, isn't it!
