Katrina Kaif gets to romance the man on Islands in real life, and his ex-girl-friend, Deepika Padukone, gets to create a sizzling chemistry with him on-screen. The man here is Ranbir Kapoor, the new superstar of Bollywood. It is almost confirmed that Deepika has bagged the role opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali's next, untitled movie. The real life lady love is reportedly sulking because the man did not recommend her name.

Citing a source, DNA reports that Katrina was keen on doing the untitled movie. There were two reasons: first she had never worked with Imtiaz before and second for the obvious reason, Ranbir Kapoor. "She was the first actress to make a hit pair with Ranbir and she wants to recreate that on-screen, especially now that he is being touted as the next best thing. Besides, working with him would also mean spending some quality time with her beau," according to the source quoted in DNA.

"She kept asking Ranbir to request Imtiaz, to cast her in the film. But he refuses to recommend his heroines to directors and did not make an exception even for his girlfriend."

Deepika is riding high after the super success of Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani, starring her and Ranbir. Currently, she is busy promoting her upcoming movie Chennai Express, slated to release on August 09, 2013. The year may turn out to be 'Blockbuster 2013' for her.

The crest-fallen Katrina is off to Poland for an advertising shoot. But, before she took a flight out of India, she wrote an open letter to Indian media, questioning media ethics and deploring them for invading her privacy. She was upset that pictures of herself and Ranbir were leaked and splashed across the media. According to Pinkvilla, the actress was spotted in Krakow, shooting a Yardley commercial.

There are also reports in the media that Katrina wants to sell the black SUV that ex boy-friend, Salman Khan, gave her on her birthday, last year. This year, her current boy-friend reportedly presented her a pair of sparkling earrings. According to Zee 24, "The buzz is that Katrina is in talks with her neighbours and agents over selling the car."
