Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan was discharged from Hinduja Hospital on Thursday and is now resting at his home. He had undergone a brain surgery for subdural hematoma on Sunday afternoon.

"I'm fantastic," the top Bollywood actor told the media. According to DNA, Hrithik Roshan's father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, was accompanying him.

The doctors have advised the actor to take four-weeks of bed rest. "He is fine now but he will be taking rest at least for a month now. Doctors have asked him to take rest and complete the medication," a source close to the actor told DNA.

The actor had sustained the injury while performing a stunt for his movie Bang Bang, which is a remake of Hollywood movie 'Knight and Day'. During the rehearsal, he fell down on the wrong side and banged his head a bit, according to his father.

A host of Bollywood celebrities visited the actor at the hospital, including Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan, director and producer Karan Johar, Uday Chopra and Kunal Kapoor. The actor's two sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan, however, were barred from visiting him.

They wrote a 'Get Well Soon' note to their dearest dad. Hrithik Roshan posted the note on Facebook and also posted a poem for his sons. He said: "Innocence inspires so silently and discreetly and yet all so powerfully! Missing my sons. (I'm not allowed to see them yet).
The following words I write for them inspired BY them...And wish to hear it from them someday ....

If I could fly... i'd fly my highest.
When I can run... i'll run my fastest.
If I walk... i'll walk my tallest.
If I stand... i'll stand my strongest.
If I need to sit... i'll sit with my head up.
If I must sleep... i'll soar above clouds in my mind.
If I can...I will. I can. So I will.
I'm Great. No matter what."
