Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif seemed to have finally decided to stop the charade of "we are only friends" and be less discreet about their relationship. They were out for a movie date on Friday.

The unofficial lovebirds were caught on camera when they were on their way to watch Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha- starrer "Lootera." They were spotted in Katrina's car. Katrina was in the backseat, while Ranbir Kapoor was in the front beside the driver.

"RK and Kat arrived at the theatre in the actress' car," a source told Mid-Day.

It looked like the two were in a happy mood as Ranbir gave a thumbs up sign to the shutterbugs. Katrina did not make an attempt to hide when the shutterbugs spotted her in the backseat and started clicking at her, according to a DNA report.

However, the two reportedly sought the help of Vikramaditya Motwane once the movie ended to avoid the paparazzi. Mid-Day reported that they called-up "Lootera's" director to sneak out of the theatre unnoticed.

"When the film was nearing its end, they dialled the film's director Vikramaditya Motwane to bail them out of the sticky situation," the source told Mid-Day.

Mid-Day reported that Vikramaditya came to the theatre to pick up Ranbir, while Katrina left in her car. "The couple felt they had clearly won the hide and seek game that evening. Kat was seen grinning from ear-to-ear." "Kat and Ranbir remained unavailable for comment," an onlooker told Mid-Day.

A few days ago, the media was abuzz with news that Ranbir presented her lady love a pair of sparkling earrings on her birthday. He reportedly presented her the earrings at a five star hotel in Bandra, Mumbai. Katrina turned a year older on July 16.

"Ranbir and Katrina spent quite some time there. Post having a meal there, they walked about the lounge area hand-in-hand. On spotting a jewellery store, they went in and Ranbir paid for some pretty baubles for his ladylove," according to a leading tabloid.

A few weeks ago, they were spotted holidaying in Ibiza, Spain, with their friend Ayan Mukherjee, director of "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani."

It was time the unofficial couple made it official and put an end to all the rumours and speculations.
