It will definitely be a happy holiday for music fans with Bon Jovi and The Eagles set to tour the Land Down Under in December.

Rock icons Bon Jovi are scheduled for shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane as part of the world promotion of The Circle, which is the band's 11th studio album released in November last year.

Australia is one of the 30 countries that the band will visit for their latest tour, which is due for two years and began in the US in February.

Promoter Dainty Consolidated Entertainment declares that this is "one of the biggest sets ever to be seen" in Australia.

For almost three decades, Bon Jovi have sold more than 120 million albums and performed more than 2,600 concerts around the world. The last time they were in Australia was in 2008.

On the other hand, Eagles fans need not wait any longer. The band, led by Glenn Frey and Don Henley, will be coming back to Australia after more than six years.

Tha band, who popularized the hit "Hotel California", will have three-hour shows in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne.

The band holds the US record for best selling album of all time, for their Greatest Hits 71-75, and their 2007 release, Long Road Out of Eden, their first studio album after 28 years, went gold in Australia in just one week.

Tickets for The Eagles will be available on Monday, June 28, while Bon Jovi tickets go on sale on Thursday, July 8.
