This is a true story which will inspire the world.

She is Elesha Turner, 20, from Hastings, East Sussex. Elesha got diagnosed with bone cancer in 2013 and physicians put a stern warning of amputating her leg.

According to the report by Daily Mail, finally doctors decided to perform an operation through which her femur bone, knee and the top part of the tibia were removed and got replaced with titanium.

She confirmed saying she had the surgery the day before her birthday. The surgery lasted for six and a half hours and her best birthday gift was to witness a day free of cancer.

Following the surgery, her leg was extremely thin and fragile but after vigorous rehabilitation Elesha retained the strength of her muscles.

But Elesha’s dream was to become a model which seemed quite impossible to turn true given her physical status at that point of time.

As explained by Daily Mail, Elesha read about an article about Models of Diversity, a company who campaign to bring along more diversity within the modeling industry, during the phase of her recovery.

She along with her aunt found it really interesting and decided to get in touch with Angel, the founder.

And her dream did come true. She will be one of the bright faces of their disability campaign and will directly work in order to challenge people’s perception.

"I feel so lucky to be alive, and to be living out one of my dreams," Elesha was quoted saying.

She started experiencing the symptoms of bone cancer on holiday in Egypt in June last year for the first time.

On returning, doctors confirmed it to be bone cancer.

Now she is all set to put the dreadful days behind and start a great journey ahead.

She is also working with Bone Cancer Research Trust to raise some much needed awareness about bone cancer.
