Emily Deschanel Plays Temperance Brannan in 'Bones'

"Bones" Season 9, Episode 24, titled "The Recluse in the Recliner," airs May 19 on FOX. This season finale, which carries the Ghost Killer arc, is directed by David Boreanaz, who plays FBI Agent Seeley Booth. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) faces big changes, as showrunner Stephen Nathan sets up Bones Season 10.

"The Jeffersonian team is going to investigate the death of Wesley Foster, a conspiracy blog writer who had arranged to meet up with Booth to discuss a previous case before his untimely death," says the FOX release on Bones 9x24. This previous case, reports revealed, is related to the Ghost Killer.

"I wouldn't categorize [the Bones Season 9 finale] as a happy ending. It changes everything. Booth always has faith that the good guy wins, but in this situation, it doesn't look good," Emily Deschanel told TVGuide.com.

"Everything - Booth's work, Booth's relationship [with wife Brennan], and the direction of Booth and Brennan's life - will be called into question at the end of this season," Nathan said in the same TV Guide report. He added, "The show as we all know it will continue; it will just continue in a different way." It seems safe to assume that Bones Season 10 will feature big changes.

In the previous episode (Bones Season 9, Episode 23: "The Drama in the Queen"), avid viewers of the CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" saw a familiar face. Laura Spencer, who plays the new girlfriend of TBBT's Rajesh, is also playing the new squintern at the Jeffersonian, Jessica Warren. She and Sweets (John Francis Daley) are expected to have more moments in Bones Season 10.

The Ghost Killer was last tackled in Bones Season 9, Episode 22, titled "The Nail in the Coffin." Guest stars in this arc continuation/conclusion include Patricia Belcher as AUSA Caroline Julian and Joel David Moore as squintern Colin Fisher.
