"Bones" Season 9 returns with a fresh episode in March, though the air date has yet to be official. Reports say the long-running crime series will also return to its Monday programming on FOX. The show already has the green light for Season 10. Now fans are wondering whether it is the final season. What is next for Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz)? More important, will the ghost killer show up soon? Fans have been told "she" has been seen on screen!

In an interview with TVFanatic.com, Emily Deschanel said she thought it was likely for "Bones" to get a Season 10. She noted the crime series continued to do well despite the Friday night move, and she thought it was a good sign for a tenth season. Still, she admits that in TV industry, "you'll never know."

"There's a small group of shows that have (reached its tenth year) and I feel very honoured to be a part of that," Deschanel says, before giving co-star David Boreanaz a high five.

Boreanaz and Deschanel have some odd spoilers for when Bones Season 9 returns. They mentioned "vegetables" and "broccoli chasing carrots." They also mentioned that Brennan's and Booth's daughter Christine is turning one year old.

Bones Season 9 will be welcoming a new intern, too. Could this mean that cancer-stricken Wendell Bray (Michael Grant Terry) will be slowing down at the Jeffersonian?

For Bones Season 9 finale, there is a chance that fans will see the very cool ex-priest, Aldo Coulter (Mather Zickel), at least one more time. Bones creator Hart Hanson and the showrunners might also call back Freddie Prinze Jr to reprise his role as Booth's old friend. Earlier spoilers indicate fans have not seen the last of Prinze Jr in Bones.

The ghost killer is very likely to be noticed again at the Jeffersonian, but it is known this post-Pelant villain will not figure in the Bones Season 9 finale. Showrunner Stephen Nathan told Givememyremote.com viewers have actually seen this mysterious serial killer on screen. And this arc would end by Bones Season 9, Episode 20 or 21.

Speaking to TVGuide, Hanson shared his plans on Bones Season 9 finale or the season's latter episodes. He's thinking of putting Brennan and Booth in a pensive mood, looking back into their lives together and assessing their situation (or perhaps career plans).

"It would take place in a spooky world where all the victims they got justice for show up, perhaps as ghosts," Hanson said.

Bones Season 9 will air a new episode in March, just after it's given viewers the chance to catch up with the latest on Olympics games. Bones Season 10 is indeed a done deal, but many fans are prepared that it could be the final season of the show.

"Over the course of nine seasons, Bones has grown from a hit crime procedural into a beloved pillar of our lineup that resonates with fans in a way that only the best of shows can," Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly was quoted by Deadline.

Bones Season 9, Episode 16 airs on FOX in March. A little more patience, Brennanites. While waiting perhaps fans of the show should come up with a list of their own 'ghost killer' suspects.
