Boris Becker: Roger Federer is still Elite; Swiss Master Can Still Win It
Boris Becker said he's still expected Roger Federer to compete at the year-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London this November, the former world's no.1 told the Daily Mail on Tuesday.
Becker believes there is still lot of fire left in Federer following his move to part ways with head coach Paul Annacone last week.
'He could have walked off into the sunset with Paul but this move tells me that Roger still has the fire and the motivation,' said Becker.
Federer's 2013 season has been miserable as the Swiss failed to reach beyond the quarterfinal of the Wimbledon and US Open and has only one title around his belt for this year.
Speculations are high that Federer's retirement could come sooner than expected. However, Becker thinks the Swiss Maestro alone knows when to call it over.
'I am one of Roger's biggest fans and I don't like seeing him lose in the second or third round of the Slams, but as long as he wants to play it is up to him, he deserves that respect,' said Becker.

Federer is fighting to secure his ticket in the ATP Tour Finals and his results at Basel Indoor Open and Paris Masters will be the sticking point if he will qualify in the tournament.
