Some of Australian women's water polo's brightest prospects will come together in the coming weeks, as the born 1993 national train-on squad for the 2013 FINA World Junior Championships has been announced.

The players, who will undergo a month long tour of Europe as well as a series of arduous training camps in preparation for 2013, have been selected based on their recent performances at the 20 and under national championships in Adelaide.

Head coach Ryan Moar said there was a good spread of talent in many positions throughout the pool and was looking forward to developing the girls into a well oiled machine.

"A lot of the girls played very well in the past week in Adelaide and they have all been rewarded with spots in the squad," Moar said.

"Michaela Davies, Maddison Schmid and Jayde Appel all have the experience of one junior world championship campaign under their belts and it is good for the rest of the girls that they are in the team.

"We also have Bronte Colenso, Emily Benson and Cathryn Earl, who all gained senior international experience with the Australian Barbarians at the Water Polo Pan Pacs, and their addition provides even more depth to the squad."

The squad will travel to Europe in late August where they will take on some of the best junior players from around the world in tournament in Greece, before joining Italy in a training camp either in Australia or Florence.

Additional players will be considered for inclusion in this squad depending on performances during the National Water Polo League and the 18 and under club championships in April.
