A train-on group of 18 has been named in the Australian born '94 women's youth squad that will take part in a week long test series against New Zealand, starting January 22.

Head coach Aleks Osadchuk said the aim for the camp was to start getting ready for the FINA World Junior Championship in December at the end of the year.

"This is our first international showing since our European tour last year," Osadchuk said.

"The girls developed nicely on that tour and we are hoping to increase our progression for later in the year."

The test series and training camp will take place in Adelaide at the South Australian Aquatic and Leisure Centre from January 22 to January 26.

The squad will come together after the completion of the 20 & under national championships, in which the majority of the girls are participating.
